Entertainer G Whizz has promised to strike a balance in delivering more songs for the ladies this year. The singer who's widely known for his global hit, Life, said that although his core music will remain positive, he wants 2026 to be a year of more exploration and musical versatility.

"This year dem a guh hear some more songs fi di ladies yuh nuh. Mi neva short of the inspirational and encouraging songs but mi definitely a guh put out some songs fi di ladies right now ... some lovey-dovey, one-drop type of music and fans ago like it," G Whizz told THE STAR.

He pointed out that his love song, Can't Love You Like Me, a collaboration with dancehall artiste D'Angel, ranks among his top 10 most streamed songs worldwide.

"Suh mi and di team just come together and decide on it because mi a seh we need more a this song inna di catalogue now; it's been a while wi nuh do no more a dem type a song yah... people like different type a song and flow but dah song deh, when mi and Angel come out wid it, it was mainly girl songs on the riddim, suh it tie in and it worked," shared G Whizz.

He said he hopes this refreshed approach will help expose more of his "versatility".

"A lot a people might a think seh a one type a music mi can do but mi ago show dem seh 'no, mi versatile'. And it's also just to keep the real, hardcore fans dem weh nuh left mi none at all, active and mek dem know seh work a put in and mi career up and active same way," said the On and On singer.

G Whizz said though he has not been performing a lot locally, he's been booked and busy in places such as Africa, Japan and Germany. Since Hurricane Melissa, he has also performed at the local and international leg in Florida of the 'I Love Jamaica Telethon and Virtual Concerts.

He shared that support from his own home is somewhat crippled by the "politricks in the music business".

"Some of these promoters mek it seem like yuh have to be the 'artiste a di moment' to be on their show but I'm not gonna beg and beseech no promoter to go on any show. Where I'm getting the bookings, that's where I'm going," he stated.

However, he said he's always open and ready to perform in Jamaica.

"There are so many great artistes that came out in my time, and after that should've been on some of these local shows but they aren't and just not getting that support locally, as they should. The music set a way but I don't mek a lot a things badda me any more, mi just focus on weh mi a get di love and support and where I feel appreciated. But Jamaica is not a place where we never ever seh 'forget them'," he said, adding that he doesn't believe he's being given enough credit for his work locally.

While still promoting his Just Winning album, he also plans to release more singles projects this year, ahead of a major tour in Japan alongside the legendary Third World Band, in March.

The reggae-infused singer said for the past five years he has also been pursuing his dreams as an entrepreneur, which saw him owning and operating an auto, yacht and airplane detailing business called 'Go Care Mobile and Detailing'.
