Two brothers have been arrested and charged with wounding with intent after chop wounds were inflicted on a man at his home in Whitehall, Islington, St Mary, last Friday.

Charged are 35-year-old Darrando Garnett and 30-year-old Romeion Garnett, both of Spanish Town, St Catherine. Reports from the Port Maria police are that at 3 p.m., the duo was travelling along the roadway when they saw a man who had wounded their father in an earlier altercation. They exited the vehicle and hurled stones at the man, hitting him all over his body. The siblings also armed themselves with a machete and inflicted several chop wounds on the man's upper body. Following the attack, residents alerted a police team that was seen in the area. Upon their arrival at the scene, the Garnetts were taken into custody.

They were later charged after a question-and-answer session. A court date is being finalised for them
