Kiprich, Kizzy Donn Bid Farewell to baby Miracle
Dancehall entertainer Kiprich and his partner, Kizzy Donn, were overcome with emotion as they laid their newborn daughter, Miracle, to rest during a private funeral service in Colombia.
The grieving parents shared highlights from the intimate ceremony on Sunday, days after confirming that the infant died while receiving medical care overseas.
Footage showed a white casket at the centre of the service, with both parents taking turns to speak directly to their daughter. Kiprich, born Marlon Jaro Plunkett, poured out his grief while leaning on his faith.
"You will forever be in our hearts. The Lord knows best. Him don't give man more than him can bear. We try everything in our power, drop everything, but the Lord always have a better plan," the entertainer said.
He later sang Amazing Grace, adding to the emotional farewell.
Kizzy Donn, whose real name is Danielle Banton, stood by Kiprich's side as she addressed her baby, breaking down in tears.
"This is not the end, this is the beginning, the reborn of your mom," she said.
Miracle was born prematurely at six months and remained in intensive care from birth. She died about two weeks later after battling ongoing medical complications.
The premature birth occurred while the couple were in Colombia for a scheduled stage show. In the days that followed, supporters closely monitored updates as the infant was transferred between medical facilities and the family sought to raise funds to airlift her to the United States for specialised treatment.
The funeral was kept small and away from public view, with moments of prayer and quiet reflection marking the final goodbye.
Kiprich and Kizzy Donn have not said when they will return to Jamaica.
