19-y-o charged for break-in at Brunswick Avenue, Spanish Town establishment
Nineteen-year-old labourer David Brooks of Walks Road, Spanish Town, St Catherine has been charged with house breaking with intent and malicious destruction of property following an incident along Brunswick Avenue in Spanish Town on Sunday, February 1.
Reports from the Spanish Town police are that a business owner securely locked his establishment and left.
The police reported that residents later informed him that culprits were breaking a window to gain access to the building.
The police were alerted, and upon their arrival, Brooks was seen inside the premises and apprehended.
According to the police, subsequent checks revealed that a cash register had been damaged.
Brooks was immediately taken into custody and was later charged following a question-and-answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is being finalised.
